Today, we're taking a peek at the journey our Nespresso coffee capsules take from coffee beans to compost in eco-friendly systems.
From coffee bean to capsule
Our delicious coffee is sourced from a premium Aussie supplier with the best artisan roasters. They use the latest technology and ensure only the best coffee beans are ground and packed inside each Nespresso coffee capsule. From coffee bean selection, to roasting, grinding and capsule sealing, our coffee is packed as fresh as the day it was roasted.
It takes an eco-friendly mindset
With our range of Nespresso coffee capsules becoming as important as the air we breathe, eco-conscious Kiwis like Louise and I have invested time and money in eco-friendly, compostable capsule alternatives to help create a greener New Zealand.
We did the hard yards in 2019 with our Courier & Compost service. This meant all our compostable capsules were collected and correctly processed so they could be returned to nature. We built lifelong relationships with We Compost - a leading waste management company who helped us realise our sustainable vision, and since then, we’ve been doing our bit and repurposing capsules for use in the forestry and agricultural sectors.
The magic of compostability
We have two easy ways to compost your used Nespresso coffee capsules.
The first is to home compost using our new eco-friendly certified biodegradable Nespresso coffee capsules. These home compostable beauties are made from plants and are wrapped in a cellulose label, meaning they easily break down in your garden or organic waste.
The other way is for you to send your used Nespresso coffee capsules back to us using our Courier & Compost service and we’ll compost them for you.
